Groot Hospitality x Tao Group: Casadonna

The two most famous hospitality groups, David Grutman’s Groot Hospitality (Komodo, Swan, Papi Steak) and Tao Group Hospitality (Tao Asian Bistro, Hakkasan), have joined forces for the first time ever to launch Casadonna. The 20,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor restaurant is located in Miami overlooking Biscayne Bay.

The menu veers coastal Italian, drawing inspiration from French and Spanish cuisines. You can expect a lot of olive oil based dishes, a lot of fish, and a lot of fresh pastas.

The arrival experience, dubbed the Courtyard Bar, is reminiscent of a grand secret garden with a double-height atrium featuring paned and vaulted glass windows and a retractable roof. Further into the restaurant, a number of distinctive spaces are unveiled: The Garden Dining Room feel like a classic, plaster-finished conservatory, while the Loggia Dining Room boasts parquet wood floors, a coffered ceiling, detailed millwork, and custom blown-glass chandeliers. The Ocean Bar comprises intimate lounge and al fresco dining areas across a terrace overlooking the bay. The venue can hold up to 366 guests across its multiple bars and dining rooms.
