Violet, named after the state flower of Rhode Island, is the sixth restaurant by the Pizza Loves Emily Group and chef Matt Hyland. The menu focuses on grilled cuisine that pays homage to New England and Rhode Island's flavors and abundance of fresh seafood. The anchor of the menu - grilled pizzas - are inspired by Hyland’s nostalgia for Al Forno in Providence, where he often ate while attending school and his desire to fill the void of grilled pizza destinations in New York City. The naturally shaped pies, which are grilled on both sides and served with scissors to cut slices, feature seasonal and innovative toppings. Shareable plates and a rotating selection of fresh, house-made pastas are also available to enjoy.
