Cathédrale @ Moxy East Village
Cathédrale is a French-Mediterranean Restaurant conceived by executive chef Jason Hall and TAO Group. Entering Cathédrale’s soaring main dining room feels like stumbling upon an abandoned architectural treasure: Its 26-foot, triple-height ceiling is covered in a massive wire mesh sculpture, Fillmore, by Edoardo Tresoldi that looks like the apparition of a grand domed ceiling. An outdoor dining terrace with a retractable roof is another hidden surprise.
If you’re interested in hosting a private event, The Poster Room, a private dining space, immerses up to 26 guests in the psychedelic rock era. Its ceiling is lined with vintage concert posters from the Fillmore East; backlit screen prints of other posters hang on the walls. The Poster Room has a dedicated restroom and connects to the terrace for private indoor/outdoor events.
